
Senior Software Developer – Real-Time Processing Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, create, and enhance the fundamental components of Arctic Wolf’s real-time detection and event processing platform.
• Develop and advance large-scale distributed systems capable of processing and analyzing trillions of events daily in near real-time.
• Create functionalities across event processing systems, detection frameworks, event correlation platforms, and stream-processing infrastructure.
• Tackle intricate engineering challenges concerning scalability, reliability, performance, latency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness within cloud-native environments.
• Contribute to the architectural and technical vision for next-generation platform capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality, production-ready software and manage systems at a massive scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform efficiency and operational excellence continuously.
• Mentor and assist fellow developers while promoting a culture of ownership, quality, and ongoing improvement.
• 5-10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and operating complex distributed systems at scale.
• Strong expertise in real-time data processing architectures and high-throughput systems.
• Experience in delivering production systems end-to-end and leading complex technical initiatives with a high level of autonomy.
• Strong programming abilities in one or more languages such as Golang, Python, or Java.
• Experience in building and deploying services within cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in modern containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Comfortable working within microservices architectures and CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Spark, Redpanda, RabbitMQ, SQS, or other event-streaming and messaging platforms is a plus.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, observability, telemetry, or other data-intensive platforms is preferred.
• Passionate about developing high-quality software and tackling complex engineering challenges at extreme scale.
