This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Develop architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that provide immediate business value while aligning with the long-term product and platform vision.
• Shape technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and collaborative efforts.
• Collaborate with senior developers, architects, and tech leads to define and implement the product/platform architecture roadmap.
• Decompose large initiatives into manageable segments of work that yield incremental business value.
• Advocate for proposals throughout all stages of the SDLC, from design to production implementation.
• Diagnose and resolve persistent production issues; enhance reliability, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Lead design discussions both within and between teams.
• Serve as a trusted technical leader, assisting teams in achieving success through collaboration, influence, and shared ownership.
• Design and develop essential features and architectural enhancements for the platform, end-to-end, utilizing modern .NET technology and architecture.
• Construct and manage services across both monolithic and microservice architectures.
• Work alongside a team with deep technical expertise and strong domain knowledge; engage in brainstorming and idea sharing within an agile team of developers, testers, and a product owner.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; at least 8 years of professional software development experience with proven impact beyond a single team.
• Extensive experience with server-side .NET and C#, particularly in highly distributed microservice architectures.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing distributed, cloud-native, SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale, preferably on AWS.
• Solid understanding of software fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and a history of advocating for code quality.
• Familiarity with test-driven development, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in designing and consuming well-structured HTTP APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar).
• Background in both monolithic applications and microservices.
• Knowledge of relational databases, such as SQL Server.
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural choices across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at functioning in dynamic environments with ambiguity and changing requirements.
