Senior Software Developer – Fleet

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in scaling and enhancing infrastructure that supports edge devices utilized across care communities.

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend systems using Go.

• Contribute to the development of internal frontend tools with TypeScript.

• Assume responsibility for services essential to device health, OTA updates, and system observability.

• Establish observability and alerting mechanisms to guarantee uptime and performance of edge infrastructure.

• Drive technical choices and aid in defining the system architecture.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Operations to synchronize on priorities and ensure operational readiness.

• Engage in on-call rotation and maintain high standards for system reliability and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers through code reviews and collaborative programming.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend or infrastructure.

• Practical experience with Go or another contemporary backend programming language.

• Background in designing distributed systems or working with microservices.

• Proficient in navigating Linux and addressing networking-level challenges in production settings.

• Knowledgeable in observability tools and infrastructure-as-code principles.

• Effective communicator and collaborator, particularly within a remote-first team environment.

• Inquisitive, humble, and enthusiastic about creating sustainable systems.

• Prior experience in mentoring peers is advantageous.

• Comfortable balancing trade-offs between development speed and maintainability.
