Senior Software Developer – Développeur logiciel senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance features throughout our technology stack, leveraging Django/Python for backend development and React/TypeScript for frontend development.

• Guarantee the high availability, performance, and security of the existing application while facilitating the launch of the new platform.

• Engage in application support, respond actively to incidents, and ensure swift resolution of production-related issues.

• Produce clean, thoroughly tested, production-ready code, and systematically document legacy systems and processes to avoid knowledge gaps.

• Actively participate in peer code reviews, ensuring that code adheres to shared quality, performance, and security standards.

• Work autonomously on designated features from inception to deployment, while closely coordinating with the Tech Lead on scope parameters.

• Share technical expertise with the team and foster a highly collaborative, growth-focused, and rigorous engineering culture.

• Collaborate with the new platform development team to support feature alignment and facilitate technical transition points.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack software development.

• Proficient in Python backend development (Django, Django REST Framework, Celery).

• Strong skills in React frontend development with TypeScript and Redux.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and OAuth2 / JWT authentication.

• Familiarity with Docker, AWS (S3, Lambda), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Knowledge of asynchronous and real-time architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, WebSockets, Redis).

• Exceptional written communication skills and a strong degree of autonomy in a fully remote setting.
