This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and enhance general computer application software or specialized utility programs.
• Transition and upgrade all existing system functionalities from legacy mainframe systems to cloud-native microservices operating within AWS GovCloud.
• Engage in the operation and maintenance of an enterprise-scale production system, including the identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues in collaboration with the ART.
• Assess user requirements and create software solutions.
• Evaluate and design databases within a specific application domain, either independently or in coordination with a team for database development.
• Implement principles and methodologies of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Transition and upgrade all existing system functionalities from legacy mainframe systems to cloud-native microservices operating within AWS GovCloud.
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of professional experience, or an associate's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience.
• Possession of an active Tier 3 Secret clearance.
• Proven experience working within an Agile framework, with active participation in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and CI/CD Pipeline.
• Over 5 years of experience in Java Object-Oriented Programming.
• More than 5 years of experience with Kubernetes and containers, specifically in automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
• Experience in designing, constructing, and operating cloud-native architectures within secure and regulated environments.
• Experience in designing and supporting event-driven architectures with a focus on reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with three or more of the following: Apache Kafka Pub/Sub (Publish, subscribe) Streaming Event sources, running GitOps (GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Tecton, etc.) within version control tools, and utilizing the Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for version control management.
