Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and implement comprehensive software applications and automation solutions.

• Collaborate with the Software Architect and Platform Development Manager in both Azure and traditional data center settings.

• Serve as an escalation resource to maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot legacy applications.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members.

• Maintain runbooks and knowledge bases for operational processes.

• Engage in projects involving complex and large-scale applications.

• Work closely with the data science team, platform automation team, designers, developers, product managers, and other departments.

• Develop, maintain, and resolve issues related to web and mobile applications.

• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot automations and scripts using languages such as Python and PowerShell.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to established frameworks.

• Enhance existing documentation and manage knowledge articles effectively.

• Participate in technology evaluations and proof-of-concept designs.

• Lead code reviews and improve technology process frameworks.

• Debug and diagnose software and scripting issues.

• Conduct root cause analysis on complex applications.

• Test and deploy applications, scripts, and cloud-based solutions.

• Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, development tools, programming methodologies, and industry standards.

• Ensure operational integrity and HIPAA compliance by safeguarding confidential information and adhering to specific guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.

• Over 7 years of experience as a software developer.

• More than 7 years of experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.

• In-depth understanding and at least 5 years of experience applying Well Architected Frameworks.

• Over 7 years of experience with functional, imperative, and object-oriented programming languages; familiarity with C# and Java is preferred.

• At least 4 years of experience with scripting languages, specifically Python.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with Azure-based microservices and infrastructure.

• Proven experience in coding, testing, and documenting complex systems.

• Proficient in using version control systems such as GIT.

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements, define tasks, provide estimates, and meet production deadlines.

• Familiarity with professional software engineering best practices throughout the entire software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Experience with unit testing methodologies.

• A strong desire and willingness to learn new technologies.

• More than 5 years of experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL.

• Over 5 years of experience utilizing Azure DevOps as a code repository and task tracking system, including automated tests, CI builds, and release pipelines.

• Capability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to apply the Azure Well Architected Framework in designs, troubleshooting, and deployments.

• Quick to learn across diverse technologies and programming languages.

• Proficient in resolving complex problems systematically.

• Experience working in an Agile software development environment and as part of a Scrum team.

• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
