Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of full-stack features from the definition of the problem through design, implementation, release, measurement, and iteration.

• Create and implement scalable front-end solutions utilizing Next.js or React with a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.

• Develop and implement scalable back-end solutions using .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL.

• Architect, deploy, and manage applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines.

• Leverage AI tools and agentic development workflows throughout design, coding, testing, debugging, reviewing, and software delivery processes.

• Collaborate with product, design, data, and business stakeholders to convert ambiguous requirements into technical solutions.

• Contribute to architectural and technical strategy decisions.

• Work together with distributed development teams, including partners in India.

• Provide mentorship to developers and enhance team engineering workflows.

• Engage in an on-call rotation, which may include nights and weekends, to ensure production systems and service reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Significant experience in building production-ready full-stack software across both front-end and back-end.

• Practical experience with Next.js or React and a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.

• Hands-on experience with .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL.

• Familiarity with designing, deploying, and operating applications on AWS using Amazon EKS / Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of software design, system architecture, testing, observability, and maintainability.

• Capability to tackle ambiguous problems and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Advanced hands-on experience with AI tools within professional software development workflows.

• Experience with AI coding agents, AI-assisted reviews, prompt-driven development, or multi-agent workflows.

• Proficient in CI/CD, automated testing, and production operations.

• Proven track record of delivering features in greenfield, early-stage, or rapidly changing product environments.

• Experience in fintech, financial services, or mortgage servicing.

• Ability to mentor engineers and impact engineering practices.
