This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

• Contribute to our current Golang and Ruby on Rails backend services by developing new APIs, enhancing performance, and expanding functionality.

• Engage with our Next.js/React applications to unveil features and enhance usability for our customers.

• Operate within our Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure to deploy new services, balance workloads, and oversee capacity management.

• Collaborate effectively to define, design, deliver, and maintain valuable solutions for our clientele.

• Develop code that is testable, observable, and maintainable, utilizing both traditional and AI-enabled technologies.

• Share expertise and contribute to system documentation.

• Coordinate closely with other Staff Engineers, Engineering Management, Product Management, and Executives.

• Over 6 years of experience in backend development using a server-side programming language, preferably Golang or Javascript.

• Proficiency with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or MSSQL.

• Proven ability to collaborate, take ownership, and deliver on significant projects.

• Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning new skills while addressing critical challenges across the tech stack.

• Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or others is advantageous.

• Experience with Ruby, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Docker, and Next.js is beneficial.

• Background in using DevOps tools such as CDNs, CI/CD, observability tools, and shell scripting is a plus.

• Knowledge of SEO practices is a plus.
