Senior Social Media Scraping, Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Create and implement scalable web scraping solutions for social media platforms and various websites.

• Develop browser automation utilizing Playwright, Selenium, or Puppeteer.

• Integrate official APIs from platforms wherever possible.

• Construct systems for gathering publicly accessible information.

• Establish scheduled data collection and monitoring systems.

• Design a distributed scraping architecture capable of managing high-volume workloads.

• Execute proxy rotation, session management, cookie handling basics, browser fingerprinting fundamentals, and rate-limiting techniques.

• Enhance scraper performance, reliability, and fault tolerance.

• Create ETL pipelines to clean, validate, deduplicate, and enrich acquired data.

• Work collaboratively with product, data, and engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with equivalent practical experience.

• 4 to 8+ years of experience in Python development and web automation.

• Proven experience in building distributed scraping infrastructure.

• Familiarity with proxy management, browser fingerprinting, and session handling techniques.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and skills in system design.

• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
