This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines along with ELT/ETL workflows on Snowflake, integrating data from various internal and external sources.
• Architect and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, and warehouses to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement and uphold data governance, security measures, role-based access controls, and data quality standards across the platform.
• Monitor and fine-tune warehouse performance, query execution, and resource utilization to manage costs and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
• Build and sustain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure utilizing tools such as dbt, Git, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow).
• Utilize advanced Snowflake features, including Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Dynamic Tables, and Snowpark, to provide near-real-time and automated data solutions.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into robust data solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and establish best practices for data engineering within the team.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, including more than 3 years of hands-on Snowflake development in a production setting.
• Advanced SQL expertise, encompassing complex query design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Significant experience in designing dimensional and/or data vault data models and constructing ELT pipelines.
• Proficient in using dbt for data transformation and modeling tasks.
• Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its associated data services.
• Programming skills in Python for data processing, automation, and scripting purposes.
• Competence in utilizing GenAI and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT/OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to expedite coding, debugging, and documentation.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, data governance, and security best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
