This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Oversee Snowflake accounts, including user access, roles, privileges, and security settings.
• Enhance platform performance, query execution, resource management, capacity, and expenditures.
• Automate standard platform tasks such as schema creation, access provisioning, and account-level object administration.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analysts to integrate Snowflake with various data systems and applications.
• Implement security, encryption, compliance, and data protection standards throughout the Snowflake environment.
• Identify and resolve issues related to Snowflake infrastructure, data pipelines, and integrations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and deliver training and support on Snowflake best practices and new functionalities.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and enable new features in collaboration with vendors, Information Technology, and Security teams.
• Ensure full compliance with relevant enterprise policies, laws, regulations, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Report any suspicious activities, customer complaints, procedural violations, and ethical concerns as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience in administering and managing the Snowflake data platform.
• A minimum of 0 years of experience with DevOps or automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Capacity to work independently while effectively contributing to a team.
• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, functionalities, and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and services relevant to Snowflake.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake certifications like SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced.
• Background in Snowflake resource optimization, cost management, automation, and disaster recovery.
