This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
• Conduct transaction exception reviews prompted by exception logic within the FAR Loan Management system.
• Detect potential incidents, align transaction codes with HERMIT, and assess borrower recoverability and HUD claim eligibility.
• Execute transaction-level loss analysis reviews of HECM claims to pinpoint losses, identify root causes, and explore recovery opportunities.
• Monitor loss trends throughout the servicing portfolio and forecast financial impacts for senior leadership.
• Assist with loss mitigation analytics and governance.
• Track potential incidents, escalate exposure to management, and participate in mitigation strategy meetings.
• Oversee property valuations across the servicing portfolio.
• Examine appraisal and BPO exceptions that affect loss severity, decision-making, and recoveries.
• Utilize valuation benchmarks to analyze local market trends and valuation factors for loss analysis.
• Review property valuation exceptions with an emphasis on property preservation and risk analysis.
• Adhere to KPIs in collaboration with management.
• Supervise monthly performance exceptions and issue reporting for the subservicer.
• Provide prompt and accurate updates to stakeholders regarding internal business projects.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, technologies, best practices, and standards of conduct.
• Mentor and train colleagues and vendors as assigned.
• Follow established risk and compliance policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Report directly to the Manager, Loan Administration.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the mortgage servicing industry.
• Experience with reverse mortgages is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the mortgage industry concerning claims, defaults, complaints management, borrower experience, reverse, forward, and/or commercial products.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Capable of adapting to new technologies and applications while managing multiple screens.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualifications in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional leadership is preferred.
• Familiarity with GSE agency guidelines, CFPB regulations, and FHA/HUD requirements is preferred.
