Senior Site Reliability Engineer, SRE

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance Maze’s cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

• Enhance observability practices, assisting engineers in understanding, debugging, and managing production systems.

• Collaborate across engineering and security teams to bolster the cloud security posture and operational practices.

• Support initiatives related to security and compliance, encompassing vulnerability management, security testing, and audit preparedness.

• Develop tools and automation to minimize manual tasks and enhance the developer experience.

• Integrate an operational and security viewpoint into architectural and technical decision-making.

• Enhance readiness for, response to, and learning from production incidents.

• Employ modern AI-assisted and agentic workflows to build, debug, and operate systems more efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and managing production systems within a modern cloud environment, preferably AWS.

• Strong understanding of contemporary SRE and infrastructure practices, such as infrastructure as code and containerized workloads.

• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, alerting, and production visibility tools.

• Security-oriented mindset with experience or a keen interest in cloud security, vulnerability management, application security, or related fields.

• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001, or a desire to gain deeper expertise.

• Proficiency in automating repetitive tasks through coding and comfort with at least one programming language.

• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development and active engagement with modern AI tools.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where ownership, curiosity, and pragmatic decision-making are valued.

• Preference for remote work in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, or Portugal.
