Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain cloud infrastructure to host Teikametrics applications and platforms.

• Assist in the creation of internal DevOps tools and establish best practices to enhance software development and deployment efficiency.

• Oversee deployments utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

• Collaborate within a DevOps framework alongside product development teams.

• Design, implement, and manage automation tools that boost predictability, enhance efficiency, and lower operational costs.

• Administer and scale web applications and data platforms.

• Create tools that adhere to DevOps and security best practices.

• Generate reusable and immutable infrastructure using Terraform.

• Enhance infrastructure through monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.

• Develop authentication and gateway solutions for both infrastructure and applications.

• Examine application issues and provide guidance to development teams regarding design, deployment, and infrastructure decisions.

• Engage in on-call rotations, post-mortem analysis, and root cause investigations.

• Manage deployment infrastructure and automations, including GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and additional deployment tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in the field.

• Assume full responsibility for significant system components, ensuring their reliability and performance.

• Manage the lifecycle of core project infrastructure, from design through deployment, maintenance, and performance enhancement.

• Familiarity with industry standards and DevOps best practices.

• Experience supporting the overall platform in on-call rotations.

• Capable of operating with minimal supervision.

• Experience in managing workflows and pipelines utilizing tools like CircleCI, Argo Workflows, etc.

• Proficiency with cloud computing providers such as AWS.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) or comparable container orchestration platforms.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.

• Experience coding in at least one programming language, such as Bash or Python, is required.

• Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization technologies is essential.

• Automation experience in cloud environments.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies and tools such as Docker.

• Proficient in monitoring tools like Datadog, Opensearch, and Sentry.

• Experience with Databricks, Kafka, Java, JavaScript, AWS RDS/Postgres, infrastructure costs and budgets, as well as AI agents, will be considered advantageous.
