Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Define, measure, and oversee SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Lead incident response efforts, troubleshoot intricate system issues, and perform blameless post-mortems.

• Design and implement strategies for monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing.

• Maintain and enhance Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop automation solutions to minimize toil and boost developer productivity.

• Diagnose and resolve complex application and platform issues within Kubernetes and Docker environments.

• Monitor system performance, predict resource requirements, and scale infrastructure accordingly.

• Incorporate security practices into the platform and automate the remediation of vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with product and platform teams to create reliable systems and standardize operational patterns.

• Produce documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans.

• Advocate for SRE best practices and promote an SRE culture throughout engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English with exceptional communication skills; capable of leading war rooms and articulating complex technical issues.

• Comprehensive understanding of SRE principles, including SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and incident management.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker technologies.

• Expertise in diagnosing pods, logs/events, probes, networking, resources, and volumes.

• Solid foundation in Linux, including processes, networking, filesystems, and permissions.

• Advanced proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go programming languages.

• Extensive experience with monitoring and logging stacks, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, and distributed tracing tools.

• Practical knowledge of AWS services, including IAM, VPC/networking fundamentals, EC2/EKS, S3, and CloudWatch.

• Experience with platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Git workflows.

• Familiarity with modern service lifecycles such as Java/Spring Boot and reliable containerization practices.

• Comfortable using AI coding and editing tools.

• Proactive learner with a strong ownership mindset and accountability for system uptime.

• Composed under pressure, able to work independently and drive end-to-end solutions.

• Experience with Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize is an advantage.

• Additional AWS experience with ECR, ALB/NLB, RDS, and Parameter Store/Secrets Manager is a plus.

• Knowledge of OPA/Gatekeeper/Kyverno admission control and software supply-chain controls is beneficial.

• Familiarity with chaos engineering, fault injection, or performance/load testing frameworks is advantageous.

• Experience with enterprise release management in regulated environments is a plus.
