Senior Site Reliability Engineer – APJ

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee processes that guarantee the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of ClickHouse cloud infrastructure.

• Work in conjunction with Control Plane, Dataplane, Core, Security, Support, Operations, and other engineering teams.

• Design and deploy distributed systems that are scalable, secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant.

• Set and manage service level objectives and service level agreements for ClickHouse Cloud.

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems across the ClickHouse Cloud infrastructure.

• Enhance incident response and post-mortem analysis, including conducting blameless postmortems.

• Communicate with affected customers in partnership with the support team.

• Continuously enhance ClickHouse service reliability and performance.

• Plan, facilitate, and drive chaos initiatives within Engineering teams.

• Oversee on-call processes, escalation methods, and the resolution of performance and reliability concerns.

• Create software platforms and tools aimed at improving operational and engineering efficiency for ClickHouse Cloud.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar field.

• Prior experience utilizing ClickHouse in a production environment.

• Practical experience with Go and/or Python.

• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with distributed databases and SQL; experience with ClickHouse is a significant advantage.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.

• Extensive experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.

• Strong debugging skills in production environments.

• A strong enthusiasm for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Valid work authorization in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, or Czech Republic.
