This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee all on-site construction activities related to electrical and Balance of Plant (BOP) operations.
• Supervise subcontractors, site engineers, and other personnel on-site.
• Ensure efficient workforce management and optimal resource distribution.
• Maintain a robust leadership presence and foster a culture of high performance.
• Strictly enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and protocols.
• Conduct safety inspections on-site, facilitate toolbox talks, and perform risk assessments.
• Supervise the installation of: Synchronous condenser units, transformers and switchgear, HV/MV cabling and terminations, as well as protection and control systems.
• Track project progress against the schedule and implement corrective measures as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Monitor site progress and provide reports based on project milestones.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in construction or site management for power or energy projects.
• Demonstrated experience with: Synchronous condensers, substations, or large-scale electrical infrastructure.
• Expertise in high-voltage systems (HV/MV).
• Comprehensive understanding of BOP systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, local grid codes).
