This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• In the role of SharePoint and Power BI Specialist, you will design, construct, and manage the collaboration and reporting infrastructure for a dynamic technical organization, directly supporting the warfighter.
• Regarding SharePoint, you will architect site frameworks, information architecture, and permission models within SharePoint Online; create modern sites, communication hubs, and document libraries with metadata, content types, and retention policies; and develop SPFx web parts or Power Apps integrations when out-of-the-box solutions are inadequate.
• On the Power BI front, you will produce production-grade semantic models, write efficient DAX, design clear and actionable dashboards, and manage workspaces with appropriate deployment pipelines, row-level security, and refresh schedules.
• Your role will involve transforming raw data into visualizations that senior leaders utilize for decision-making.
• Collaborating with the Data Engineering and Power Platform teams, you will ensure that SharePoint and Power BI utilize curated, governed data, allowing apps, sites, and reports to function as a cohesive experience.
• You will proactively address unusual and/or complex challenges with minimal guidance and excel in a fast-paced technical setting that emphasizes mission impact and speed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is essential, as you will be responsible for preparing presentations for executive reviews and delivering them effectively.
• Active Secret clearance is required, with the capability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and Power BI in enterprise settings is mandatory.
• Proven expertise in architecting SharePoint Online, including site collections, hubs, information architecture, content types, and permission models.
• Strong skills in Power BI are essential, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), workspace administration, deployment pipelines, and row-level security.
• Experience in integrating SharePoint and Power BI with the broader Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem is required.
• A working knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PnP PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph is necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial; you should be able to translate operator needs into sites, reports, and dashboards, and present findings to GO/SES-level stakeholders.
• Experience operating within a governed environment with DLP policies, sensitivity labels, and tenant-level administration is important.
