This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of Workers’ Compensation business intelligence: collaborate with data engineering to integrate and model WC data in Snowflake; create certified datasets, governed semantic models, and Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights for Workers’ Compensation.
• Assist with WC program reporting throughout the policy lifecycle, operational throughput (underwriting queues and productivity), and portfolio outcomes (frequency/severity, loss ratios). Ensure metric definitions align with the business glossary and work closely with business stakeholders to verify accuracy.
• Propel advanced analytics: utilize data mining techniques on policy, claims, and exposure data to support predictive modeling and trend analysis.
• Facilitate self-service analytics by guiding stakeholders and overseeing workspace standards.
• Partner with senior management to align BI solutions with strategic goals and influence decisions regarding data strategy.
• Advocate for data governance and metric consistency, ensuring clear definitions and adherence to enterprise standards.
• Mentor and cultivate junior BI analysts, promoting best practices in data modeling, visualization, and governance.
• 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in BI and data analysis; adeptly operates independently at a senior level.
• Required experience in the P&C Insurance domain; preference for Workers’ Compensation.
• Proficient skills in SQL, Power BI, and advanced analytics tools.
• Advanced programming capabilities in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders in Product/Underwriting/PMO; capable of translating business needs into reliable BI assets.
• Demonstrated history of delivering impactful business insights.
• Experience in leadership and mentoring roles.
• Advanced degree preferred (Master's in Data Science, Statistics, or related field).
