Senior ServiceNow Scoped App – App Engine Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance an existing custom scoped application and visualizations utilizing the ServiceNow platform and associated technologies.

• Oversee the maintenance of ServiceNow applications, custom components, workflows, and integrations.

• Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions adhering to industry best practices.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to assess requirements and convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Suggest solution methodologies, alternative designs, and implementation strategies.

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to members of the development team.

• Customize and sustain ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, and other platform technologies.

• Configure platform capabilities, workflows, business rules, and user experiences.

• Create responsive user interfaces and visualizations using AngularJS, React, HTML5, CSS, and related frameworks.

• Work alongside business and analytics teams to grasp priorities and deliver technical solutions.

• Articulate technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Counsel business stakeholders on emerging technologies, platform features, and best practices.

• Ensure that deliverables are complete, accurate, high-quality, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.

• Engage in solution testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.

• Maintain technical documentation and facilitate team knowledge-sharing.

• Stay updated on ServiceNow enhancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, increased automation, and enhanced user experiences.

• Contribute to development standards and operational best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of application development experience on the ServiceNow platform.

• Must be a United States (U.S.) Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green card).

• Required to obtain and maintain a Public Trust with the government.

• Must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and perform the work within the United States.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, administration, customization, and scripting.

• Experience in developing custom ServiceNow applications and bespoke solutions.

• Proficient in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.

• Familiarity with AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, XML/JSON, REST services, and contemporary web development practices.

• Practical experience in designing, debugging, and supporting enterprise applications.

• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Preferred ServiceNow certifications such as CSA or CAD.

• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in supporting or implementing ServiceNow AI-driven solutions is preferred.

• Experience in fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environments is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
