This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance internal security-critical tools in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

• Conduct thorough reviews of engineers' code and assess security-sensitive pull requests, particularly for systems that may handle PHI.

• Create and implement security gates and guardrails throughout the SDLC, which includes automated CI/CD checks, pre-merge review requirements, and policy-as-code.

• Assist in application security evaluations across platforms and internal tools.

• Evaluate security-related changes to Terraform, cloud services, firewalls, routing, VPN, IPSec, VPC, and clinic connectivity.

• Enhance visibility into the security posture across AWS, GCP, clinic networks, and internal applications.

• Prepare engineering teams to meet HITRUST and customer security standards.

• Enable House Rx to deliver products more swiftly, securely, and with increased confidence.

• Contribute to pharmacy management and data insight platforms that facilitate medication access and enhance patient care.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6+ years of software engineering experience in implementing and maintaining security-critical systems in a production environment.

• Proven experience in reviewing and elevating the quality of peers' code.

• Proficient programming abilities in Python or at least one systems programming language.

• Experience in contributing to cloud security controls.

• Strong grasp of web application security and secure SDLC methodologies.

• Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP platforms.

• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code practices.

• A history of reviewing pull requests and delivering clear, actionable, and impactful security feedback.

• Working knowledge of authentication, authorization, logging, secrets management, and data protection techniques.

• Strong judgment regarding sensitive data, particularly in healthcare or regulated sectors.

• A passion for AI safety and an understanding of the role security engineering plays in creating trustworthy AI systems.
