Senior Security Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design automated solutions for the collection, processing, and analysis of large-scale data, which includes managing honeypots, conducting Internet-wide scans, and discovering vulnerabilities.

• Operate, enhance, and develop honeypots to identify and detect adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).

• Conduct vulnerability research.

• Collaborate with CrowdStrike Intelligence and other teams to meet specific technical collection needs.

• Provide insights on information security topics.

• Reproduce emerging vulnerabilities and deliver actionable technical insights.

• Publish research findings on the CrowdStrike blog or present at conferences.

• Support long-term research and collection initiatives while addressing ad-hoc technical requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Robust background in information security with over 4 years of experience.

• Familiar with vulnerability research concepts, including patch analysis and exploit primitives.

• Knowledgeable in reverse engineering tools and techniques.

• Strong understanding of Linux and Microsoft Windows operating system internals.

• Solid grasp of network protocols.

• Significant software development experience in Python.

• Practical experience in using and building Generative AI/LLM workflows in software development, data analysis, and security research.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, creativity, and strong analytical skills for investigating, assessing, validating, and thinking innovatively.

• Capable of working independently with a customer-focused approach.

• Able to work remotely in a collaborative team setting.

• Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, enhance efficiency, and drive business results.

• BA/BS or equivalent experience in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Bonus: Successful involvement in CTF competitions.

• Bonus: Experience with reverse engineering tools and processes, including disassemblers, decompilers, debuggers, malware unpacking, and code logic reconstruction.
