Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, and validate security measures for applications and their operating environments.

• Assess systems for vulnerabilities and collaborate with responsible teams to resolve identified issues.

• Integrate security checks into the delivery pipeline to ensure issues are identified prior to release.

• Assist in monitoring, optimizing, and responding to incidents involving security tools.

• Convert security requirements into technical designs that delivery teams can effectively implement.

• Safeguard supply chain and logistics software developed for a federal health client.

• Collaborate directly with product teams to secure their code.

• Evaluate whether modifications are safe to deploy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree along with over 6 years of experience in security engineering.

• Practical experience in securing applications and cloud-based infrastructures.

• Experience in vulnerability assessment, including tracking issues through to remediation.

• Familiarity with federal security frameworks, such as NIST 800-53 and RMF.

• Experience in integrating security tools within CI/CD pipelines.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation (Public Trust).

• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

• Must have physically resided in the United States for at least 3 years due to background investigation requirements.
