Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of security architecture throughout a product line, from the design phase to authorization.

• Establish security engineering standards and evaluate designs against these criteria.

• Lead the assessment and remediation of intricate findings that involve multiple teams.

• Provide guidance on risk-related decisions and translate them into actionable terms for both the business and the customer.

• Mentor engineers and enhance the security standards across delivery teams.

• Oversee security engineering for supply chain and logistics software developed for a federal health client.

• Maintain the technical relationship with the security stakeholders of the customer.

• Engage in a hands-on senior role rather than following a management trajectory.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree accompanied by over 10 years of experience in security engineering.

• Proven track record of owning security architecture for a system or product line.

• Extensive experience with federal security frameworks like NIST 800-53 and RMF, including authorization processes.

• Practical experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments).

• Experience in leading remediation efforts across teams that you do not directly supervise.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation (Public Trust).

• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be eligible for the position and have lived in the United States for at least 3 years due to background investigation requirements.
