Senior Security Incident Responder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive investigations into security incidents, which include data breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.

• Determine the underlying causes of security incidents and assess their impact.

• Monitor internal infrastructure and customer activities utilizing centralized alerting and visualization systems.

• Work in collaboration with security teams to mitigate threats, strengthen defenses, and avert future incidents.

• Enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

• Supervise the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities resulting from security-related incidents.

• Offer training and support to team members regarding security incidents, potential vulnerabilities, and associated risks.

• Keep abreast of new threat-hunting techniques and advancements in digital forensics tools and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Security.

• High School Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

• At least 4–6 years specifically dedicated to Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), intrusion detection, and network or application security.

• Familiarity with Endpoint, Network, Perimeter, and Endpoint Detection Response security product solutions, such as SentinelOne or CrowdStrike.

• Strong understanding of operating system internals (macOS, Linux, and/or Windows) and network fundamentals.

• Expertise in forensic tools including Sleuthkit, Axiom, Magnet, EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, and other industry-standard software.

• Relevant certifications such as CHFI, CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, GIAC, or EnCE.
