Senior Security Engineer, Incident Response

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• You will engage in incident response as part of a distributed 24/7 operations and on-call schedule.

• You will assess and respond to security events and alerts, ensuring prompt and effective containment measures are taken.

• You will assist in security investigations by analyzing and conducting forensics across various data sources to establish the timeline and impact of security incidents.

• You will develop automations, utilizing AI and agentic platforms to provide autonomous functionalities, enhance your workflow, and amplify the team's impact.

• You will articulate technical decisions through design documentation and tech presentations while mentoring junior security responders with security advice, design evaluations, and code assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree along with 4+ years of experience in Incident Response OR a Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

• A robust background in cloud security, particularly in at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with practical knowledge of the others.

• Familiarity with AI/LLM and agentic capabilities, including effective prompting and the use of MCP, agents, and agent skills. Experience in developing and managing agentic systems within a security context is preferred.

• Extensive expertise in various security subjects.

• Proficiency in several core Incident Response skills, such as DFIR, Reverse Engineering, Traditional Network Security, Storage and Access Security, Sandboxing, and Compute Security.

• Experience with Enterprise Security and SaaS applications.

• Practical knowledge of a SIEM and SOAR.

• Experience in developing Incident Response tools and scripting language proficiency.
