
Senior Security Engineer – Enterprise Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Co-manage the daily operations, triage, and optimization of Samsara’s endpoint security environment.
• Address escalations, investigate irregularities, and resolve issues effectively.
• Enhance endpoint visibility tools and workflows in collaboration with the Security Operations team, utilizing usage patterns and incident insights.
• Develop documentation and runbooks for enterprise security processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Security to implement security tools and policies.
• Support Security Operations during security investigations as a technical subject matter expert.
• Work alongside engineering teams to triage and assist in the remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Provide mentorship to Security team engineers on domain knowledge, tool-specific skills, and effective communication.
• Advocate for and integrate Samsara's cultural principles into the team.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for the highest-severity incidents one week out of every ten.
• Maintain and advance a modern zero trust program, including the design of policies and real-time escalation triage.
• Manage production security systems for sustainable success while automating repetitive tasks.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in an Enterprise Security role with proven impact.
• Practical experience in operating and maintaining endpoint security and visibility tools at an enterprise level, such as CrowdStrike, osquery, or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with at least one additional enterprise security tool stack beyond endpoint security, such as SASE, zero trust systems, email security, DLP, or IAM.
• Proficient in scripting and debugging code with Python, with or without AI assistance.
• Experience utilizing SOAR platforms.
• Strong understanding of common security challenges, with the ability to independently assess severity and business impact.
• Proven track record of delivering significant results over multiple quarters and collaborating effectively across teams.
• Must reside in the United Kingdom.
• Legal authorization to work at the company and in the specified location.
• Ideal candidates will have a broad understanding of the endpoint security ecosystem, layered EDR controls, passive telemetry, threat intelligence integrations, and cloud or containerized environments.
• Ideal: experience with CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Incydr, and Splunk.
• Ideal: experience with Terraform infrastructure-as-code deployments.
• Ideal: experience with AI-driven automations.
