Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Oversee threats, anomalies, and policy breaches across cloud and application environments utilizing AI-driven security tools.

• Address, resolve, or escalate security incidents as necessary.

• Investigate security breaches and deliver postmortem analysis along with preventative measures.

• Model attack scenarios, identify exposure patterns, and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk levels.

• Evaluate, design, implement, automate, and document security solutions for public and private clouds, SaaS applications, and AWS platforms.

• Apply security as code principles using cloud services and CI/CD components.

• Establish cloud, container, and application security standards and embed them into CI/CD pipelines.

• Tailor cloud compliance tools and oversee compliance drift and exceptions.

• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders on Infrastructure as Code, cloud design patterns, and CI/CD security controls.

• Execute security architecture and controls across AWS and multi-cloud environments.

• Design robust security architectures to defend against network-based, system-level, and application-layer attacks.

• Maintain expertise in IDS/IPS, IAM, certificate management, identity federation, authentication, and authorization standards.

• Develop and sustain security documentation, procedures, and controls.

• Promote adherence to information security policies, enhancing security posture through tools and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.

• Extensive technical experience in cloud computing technologies and security automation, particularly with AWS.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools to automate security tasks, enhance threat detection, or improve incident response.

• Capability to create custom solutions or scripts for automated problem resolution.

• Experience in DevOps environments and collaboration with developers through CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience in developing, deploying, and automating security solutions within enterprise cloud environments.

• Strong understanding of network and application security, infrastructure hardening, security baselines, web servers, and database security.

• Knowledge of SAML, OIDC, and OAuth protocols.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: experience with AI-driven security platforms, cybersecurity tools, vulnerability management programs, and pertinent certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, or CISA.

• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
