Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish the hardware and embedded security foundation and procedures across Motive devices, encompassing boot chain, firmware, FOTA, and manufacturing.

• Foster collaborations with hardware engineering teams to guarantee that findings are prioritized, verified, and addressed.

• Recognize and evaluate hardware security vulnerabilities throughout the product lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, deployment, updates, and decommissioning.

• Conduct hardware security architecture assessments, threat modeling, and security evaluations for product systems.

• Specify and review security standards for hardware platforms, embedded systems, firmware interfaces, boot processes, debugging capabilities, and device lifecycle controls in environments connected to the cloud.

• Manage comprehensive security for device hardware across IoT and cloud security infrastructures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Hardware Security, including integrating security-by-design principles into new devices and platforms.

• More than 5 years of experience collaborating with product teams to formulate security designs and establish security requirements.

• At least 5 years of practical development experience in programming languages such as Python and C/C++.

• In-depth knowledge of hardware root of trust, secure boot, attestation, key protection, device identity, and secure provisioning principles.

• Proven hands-on experience in designing, assessing, and validating security controls for hardware and low-level system architectures.

• Familiarity with cloud security, runtime security, supply chain security, and best practices in application security.

• Candidates must be authorized to receive and access commodities and technologies governed by U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
