Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of identity and SSO within Google Workspace, which includes managing groups, SCIM provisioning, MFA, and access policies.

• Oversee the macOS fleet utilizing Iru, encompassing enrollment, configuration, patching, and compliance.

• Automate the joiner, mover, and leaver processes using Rippling.

• Manage SaaS licensing and application provisioning, providing lightweight support through automation and self-service options.

• Handle security controls across AWS, GitHub, Kubernetes, and the SaaS environment.

• Administer role-based access, maintain IAM hygiene, establish cloud guardrails, define network boundaries, and manage secrets.

• Conduct vulnerability management, overseeing findings through remediation and verification with designated owners and SLAs.

• Perform access reviews and generate audit evidence utilizing Vanta.

• Provide security insights during incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews.

• Leverage AI-assisted and agentic workflows to minimize manual tasks and expedite issue investigations.

• Report to the Senior Manager of Platform Engineering and collaborate with teams across Maze.

⛳️ Requirements

• A solid background in software, infrastructure, or security engineering.

• Proficient in using code and infrastructure as code to automate repetitive tasks.

• Experience in managing identity, MDM, and joiner/leaver automation in a remote work environment.

• Familiarity with securing contemporary AWS or GCP environments and articulating IAM trade-offs.

• Experience in vulnerability management or conducting access reviews within an externally audited setting.

• Knowledge of SOC 2 or ISO 27001 controls and the ability to convert these controls into automated checks.

• Comfortable with modern AI tools and enthusiastic about AI-assisted development.

• Strong engineering fundamentals across IT and security domains.
