Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Luxembourg.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement security frameworks, standards, and controls across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, endpoints, and software development settings.

• Manage vulnerabilities, patching processes, security monitoring, detection, control testing, and ongoing security enhancements.

• Supervise encryption, PKI, certificates, secrets, HSMs, digital signatures, and readiness for post-quantum cryptography.

• Convert security risks and regulatory obligations into actionable controls.

• Assist in audits and ensure SOC 2 compliance.

• Uphold security policies and standards.

• Coordinate responses to security incidents.

• Perform technical investigations and root-cause analyses.

• Maintain response protocols and playbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of five years of pertinent experience in security engineering.

• Strong practical knowledge of enterprise security pertaining to cloud, networks, infrastructure, identity, applications, Linux/macOS, containers, and Kubernetes.

• Comprehensive understanding of cryptography, PKI, key and secrets management, HSMs, vulnerability management, compliance, incident response, forensics, and DevSecOps.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or equivalent.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Capacity to collaborate across both technical and business teams.

• Experience with blockchain, distributed ledger technology (DLT), or digital assets.

• Background in regulated financial services or market infrastructure.

• Familiarity with HSMs, post-quantum cryptography, security audits, cloud-native platforms, and DevSecOps toolchains.
