This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing Application Security engineering team.
• Encourage professional growth while aligning team objectives with organizational goals and operational challenges.
• Spearhead an Application and Pipeline Security strategy aimed at achieving an autonomous, AI-driven DevSecOps model.
• Innovate agentic security workflows for automated remediation and establish architectural guardrails and validation standards for secure AI-assisted development.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering to define cloud security baselines and Policy-as-Code guardrails.
• Supervise application penetration testing, which includes triage, pipeline integration, and SLA-based remediation.
• Establish observability and regulatory standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Implement supply chain protections, including SBOM, automated CI/CD security gates, and risk-approval protocols.
• Prioritize and address security vulnerabilities across application environments and cloud infrastructures.
• Enhance SAST, DAST, SCA, and IaC scanning telemetry to minimize false positives and elevate actionable intelligence.
• Design automated AWS response mechanisms for swift isolation and runtime threat containment.
• Integrate security into IDEs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and report on performance indicators such as MTTR and Auto-Fix Acceptance Rates.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in specialized roles within Application Security or Cloud Engineering.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Expertise in designing AWS security governance and deploying automated incident response within large-scale cloud environments.
• Technical proficiency in CI/CD orchestration, containerization safeguards, and integrating SAST/DAST/SCA solutions into developer-centric workflows.
• Advanced automation skills with the ability to architect security tools.
• Knowledge of AI-enhanced security technologies, including LLM-driven remediation tools and automated code-fixing platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant professional background as a Staff or Principal Software Engineer, or DevOps Specialist, prior to transitioning into security management.
• Proven track record of cultivating collaborative relationships with software engineering and platform teams.
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• 5-8 years of oversight experience.
