Senior IT Security Expert (m/f/d)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain IT security measures along with comprehensive security strategies.

• Transition security strategies into a database-driven content management framework.

• Perform risk assessments and establish necessary protection measures.

• Develop suitable security actions based on analyses.

• Mentor and provide expertise in the creation, upkeep, and enhancement of IT security strategies and policies.

• Offer guidance to technical product owners and IT security managers, especially regarding the utilization of the ISMS tool.

• Coordinate and execute new IT-Grundschutz and BSI compliance requirements.

• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to security standards.

• Assist with IT security inquiries as needed.

• Generate, review, and maintain documentation related to security.

• Develop and execute IT security strategies for clients in the public sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree or vocational training in IT or an equivalent qualification.

• Several years of pertinent professional experience in IT security or information security.

• Extensive knowledge of information security processes, risk management, and business continuity management.

• Strong expertise in crafting, implementing, and assessing IT security policies and strategies.

• Experience in evaluating high-availability systems and deriving measures from baseline checks and advanced risk assessments.

• In-depth knowledge of BSI Standards (200-1, 200-2, 200-3, 100-4) and the IT-Grundschutz Compendium.

• Organized and self-motivated work style.

• Proficient command of the German language.
