This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluate and address security vulnerabilities unique to AI/ML systems, such as model integrity, data poisoning, prompt injection, adversarial attacks, and agentic AI threat vectors.
• Establish and oversee security procedures, tools, and automation within AI/ML pipelines and infrastructure.
• Define and implement secure AI development and delivery methodologies throughout the SDLC.
• Assess and enhance the security of agentic AI systems, including multi-agent architectures, tool-use frameworks, and autonomous decision-making processes.
• Contribute to AI governance efforts, policy formulation, risk evaluations, and responsible AI frameworks that comply with regulatory and industry standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI security measures within engineering and operations teams.
• Manage AI security projects from inception to completion.
• Create and maintain technical security documentation for AI systems and models.
• Assist with compliance initiatives, audits, and technical evaluations pertinent to AI/ML environments.
• Report directly to the Director of Security Engineering & Operations, collaborating with Architecture, Product Development, Platform, DevOps, and IT teams.
• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in a hands-on security architecture and engineering position within an agile SaaS development environment.
• Demonstrable success in leading cross-functional security initiatives in an agile SaaS setting.
• Strong foundation and expertise in AppSec core domains.
• Direct, hands-on experience with security architecture and implementation for microservice, cloud-native, and serverless application frameworks.
• Familiarity with GitOps implementation, security measures, and their application.
• Proven experience in developing security tools and automation as software.
• Knowledge of continuous security and compliance practices.
• Recent practical experience securing AI/ML environments.
• Understanding of AI/ML security risks and frameworks, including OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF, and the EU AI Act.
• Awareness of agentic AI architectures and their associated risks, including autonomous agents, tool orchestration, memory systems, and multi-agent coordination.
• Preferred: direct experience with LLM security, model red-teaming, or AI threat modeling.
• Preferred: practical experience securing agentic AI systems using frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar.
• Preferred: involvement in or implementation of AI governance programs, risk registers, or responsible AI policies.
• Preferred: experience with security incident responses in AI/ML environments handling AI/ML workloads.
• Preferred: familiarity with model transparency, explainability, bias/fairness considerations, and data lineage.
• Preferred: relevant certifications such as ISC2 AI Security, CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, ISSAP, or ISSEP.
• Preference for candidates located in the EST time zone.
