Senior SAP Integration Suite Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support for a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA solution tailored for a complex logistics and transportation client.

• Design, develop, secure, and manage integrations between SAP instances and external enterprise systems.

• Ensure that integration capabilities are in compliance with Department of Defense transportation doctrine, regulatory standards, and SAP Clean Core principles.

• Analyze customer business operations, validate requirements, define project scope, recommend process enhancements, and assist in level-of-effort estimations.

• Convert business and technical requirements into comprehensive integration solutions.

• Create and develop synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and API-led integration flows.

• Assess, model, and design interface objects following enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture principles.

• Configure connectors, mappings, routing rules, security protocols, and both standard and custom adapters.

• Develop and manage message mappings, data transformations, routing processes, and electronic data interchange interfaces.

• Write Groovy and Java scripts for complex mappings between SAP instances and external systems.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug SAP integration flows.

• Implement SAP ABAP applications and interfaces.

• Develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document SAP Proxy and IDoc interfaces.

• Create and uphold SAP design documents and technical specifications.

• Conduct unit, integration, and release testing.

• Adhere to development standards and engage in code reviews.

• Collaborate with functional, technical, security, and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance (Active clearance is preferred).

• Minimum of 15 years of SAP experience, with at least 10 years focused on SAP integration middleware.

• Extensive knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration.

• Strong proficiency with SAP Integration Advisor and SAP Business Technology Platform.

• In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and SAP BTP architecture.

• Comprehensive knowledge of point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, publish-subscribe, and event-driven architecture.

• Experience in designing and implementing API, middleware, and event-driven integration patterns.

• Familiarity with supporting electronic data interchange and business-to-business integration scenarios.

• Proficient in Groovy scripting, XSLT, and API management.

• Experience in developing, publishing, securing, monitoring, and managing APIs.

• Knowledge of implementing security policies using OAuth, SAML, and SSL/TLS.

• Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, EDI, JSON, and XML.

• Experience with EDIFACT and X12 electronic data interchange standards.

• Ability to configure SFTP, REST, SOAP, OData, JDBC, IDoc, and AS2 adapters.

• Knowledge of SAP IDoc processing and monitoring services.

• Experience utilizing SAP Cloud Integration IDoc sender and receiver adapters to convert SAP IDoc messages into XML.

• Familiarity with SAP ABAP clients and server proxy technologies.

• Experience in developing and maintaining SAP design documents and technical specifications.

• Experience in conducting unit, integration, and release testing.

• Ability to adhere to established development standards and perform code reviews.

• Preferred: experience supporting SAP solutions hosted in Impact Level 5 environments.

• Preferred: SAP Business Technology Platform Integration Suite training or certification.

• Preferred: experience aligning SAP integrations with Department of Defense transportation requirements.

• Preferred: familiarity with the Defense Transportation Regulation and Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation.

• Preferred: understanding of SAP Clean Core principles.

• Preferred: experience integrating government and commercial transportation systems.

• Preferred: ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
