Senior SAP HCM Consultant – German Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with our clients to assess their current payroll needs and propose effective Strada solutions.

• Analyzing client business challenges and constraints to recommend optimal solutions.

• Gathering and documenting client requirements as necessary, and creating relevant work packages based on the agreed-upon solutions.

• Leading the design of solutions, reviewing and aligning deliverables to ensure timely and within-scope completion.

• Ensuring that lessons learned activities from both functional and technical perspectives are conducted.

• Delivering project objectives and materials to functional and technical resources assigned to the project.

• Documenting any deviations from Strada standards and communicating them to the project team.

• Offering subject matter expertise for all SAP payroll-related technical and functional issues.

• Providing guidance as a subject matter expert to all technical and functional resources involved in the project.

• Serving as the Payroll lead / Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for SAP Payroll Management development, defect identification, and resolution.

• Possessing extensive and proven SAP HCM & Payroll configuration skills (Evaluation and Schemas).

• Required experience in German Payroll, including Schemas, sickness processes, PCRs, wage type creation, and basic pay configuration.

• Troubleshooting and resolving HCM & Payroll issues for both external and internal customers while updating ticket logging systems promptly and accurately.

• Acting as the primary escalation point within the project or as SPOC within maintenance services for all implementation and system configuration-related issues.

• Ensuring proficiency and quality in the configuration, use, and deployment of OM/PA/PY/TM modules in the currently assigned project.

• Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Working closely with Project Managers, team members, and Service Delivery Management.

• Mentoring junior staff members.

• Assisting the Sales and Pre-Sales teams as necessary.

• Collaborating with the payroll implementation team on system development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a Business or Technical focus, or an equivalent qualification.

• Proven exceptional experience in SAP Payroll Functional and Technical implementation and configuration.

• In-depth understanding of country-specific Payroll legislation and practices for Germany.

• Experience in a consulting role within a complex payroll technology environment.

• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and quality.

• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships with clients and teams.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in German.

• Business proficient in English.
