This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take the lead in developing comprehensive solutions for energy utility companies, overseeing everything from requirements analysis to maintenance and optimization.
• Create SAP architectures with a strong emphasis on SAP BTP and CAP-based services.
• Design and implement data models, services, and business logic.
• Integrate solutions within existing SAP environments, particularly S/4HANA and S/4 Utilities.
• Collaborate with backend services, OData/REST APIs, CDS views, and SAP API Management.
• Analyze and map business processes within the energy sector.
• Provide guidance to business departments and IT on best practices, extension strategies, and integration scenarios.
• Lead workshops and demonstrations.
• Set and enforce development and integration standards for clients and internally.
• Mentor and support consultants and associate developers.
• Cultivate expertise in BTP/CAP specifically within the utilities context.
• Several years of proven experience in SAP development (backend/full stack), preferably within the energy sector.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP CAP.
• Strong familiarity with SAP BTP, including Cloud Foundry and Destinations.
• Understanding of CDS and RAP.
• Proficient in API-based integrations, OData, and REST services.
• Knowledge of SAPUI5/Fiori or contemporary web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Competence in ABAP.
• Experience in mapping business processes for energy utility companies, SAP S/4 Utilities, or similar industry solutions.
• Background in solution design, architecture, and technical consulting.
• Experience creating solution outlines, documentation, and aligning with stakeholders.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively justify decisions.
• Experience in leading projects or workstreams.
• Basic understanding of DevOps principles, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in German and good command of English.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction, confident demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
• Enjoy working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to present, conduct internal sessions, or engage in community activities related to BTP, CAP, or energy-sector processes.
