Senior SAP Analyst – Global Trade Services, GTS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and SAP functional teams to assess requirements and design, develop, and test SAP solutions that support essential GTS processes.

• Collect and prioritize business needs, convert them into functional specifications, and pinpoint opportunities for process improvement and automation.

• Lead and assist in GTS-related projects and deliverables that align with business goals.

• Engage in hands-on configuration, testing, and maintenance within GTS.

• Conduct fit-gap analysis, solution design, and prepare functional specifications.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams on end-to-end processes and integrations.

• Take the lead or contribute to unit testing, integration testing, UAT coordination, defect resolution, and cutover planning.

• Develop and maintain business requirements, functional/technical specifications, test scripts, and other project documentation.

• Suggest best practices and innovative solutions for GTS process strategies.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.

• Offer functional expertise and production support, including incident resolution and break-fix solutions.

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the sharing of organizational knowledge.

• Travel 30% for go-lives and hyper-care at a Pentair facility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of professional experience in relevant fields.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with GTS and SAP S/4HANA processes.

• A minimum of 3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations with direct involvement in GTS process design and deployment.

• Familiarity with Agile environments and tools such as Jira, Azure, Scrum, or Kanban.

• In-depth knowledge of trade compliance, including preference management, sanctioned-party screening, product classification, license controls, and SAP/external-system integrations.

• Expertise in configuring and testing GTS and SAP S/4HANA modules.

• Experience in developing functional specifications, test scripts, and process documentation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• SAP certification in GTS, S/4HANA, or related modules is preferred.

• Must reside within a reasonable driving distance of a Pentair facility for remote work.

• Willingness to travel 30%.
