This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement and uphold a tagging strategy along with cost allocation utilizing AWS Cost Allocation Tags.

• Design and oversee dashboards in AWS Cost Explorer, CUR (Cost and Usage Report), and BI tools.

• Generate periodic cost reports categorized by business unit, team, and product.

• Discover opportunities for rightsizing and the utilization of Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and Spot Instances.

• Analyze and suggest actions based on insights from AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Compute Optimizer.

• Monitor and minimize idle or underutilized resources, including unattached EBS volumes, Elastic IPs, and outdated snapshots.

• Configure and manage budgets with alerts and automated actions.

• Define and monitor cost KPIs such as cost per transaction, cost per customer, and unit economics.

• Assist in developing governance policies through AWS Organizations and Service Control Policies (SCPs).

• Advocate for showback/chargeback practices among teams.

• Prepare materials for regular cost review meetings with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Promote the stages of the FinOps framework: Inform, Optimize, and Operate.

• Create spending forecasts and aid in budget planning.

• Analyze consumption trends and detect cost anomalies using AWS Cost Anomaly Detection.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in managing cloud costs (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).

• Strong understanding of AWS billing services: Cost Explorer, CUR, Budgets, and Cost Anomaly Detection.

• Familiarity with the FinOps Foundation framework (phases, personas, principles).

• Experience with data visualization tools (QuickSight, Grafana, Tableau, or similar).

• Analytical skills to handle large quantities of billing data (SQL, Python, or similar).

• Effective communication skills to convert technical data into business insights.
