This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +35 more states.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain medical device integration within an Oracle Cerner environment.
• Assist in the ongoing implementation and support of medical devices throughout the system.
• Execute device or application installations and validate upgrades.
• Conduct root cause analyses for reported issues.
• Provision access rights for users.
• Lead or provide support for small to medium-sized projects that introduce new technologies across the system.
• Collaborate with various teams and key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely communications and project timelines.
• Engage in meetings, presentations, visioning sessions, planning activities, and implementation efforts.
• Develop system scope and objectives based on organizational requirements.
• Define, design, and modify specifications and processes for complex information systems.
• Establish standards for system documentation and quality assurance methodologies.
• Partner with various organizational and functional areas to understand customer needs and propose actionable solutions.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams and lead projects with departmental or company-wide impact.
• Provide oversight, change management, work direction, or leadership to team members.
• Establish technology processes, documentation, quality standards, and operating protocols.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Analyze and report on complex customer needs, researching new or upgraded systems and applications.
• Build relationships with internal and business partners.
• Support application design, system optimization, complex model programming, large data feeds, and emerging technology initiatives.
• Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators.
• Design and administer complex application and end-user documentation standards and policies.
• Troubleshoot intricate issues and escalate them as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Sciences, Process Engineering, Business, Healthcare, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Four to seven years of experience, or equivalent, in reporting and/or analytics, clinical application configuration, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of cross-functional departments.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple large projects and complex reports.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong technical skills pertinent to the position, including SQL/ANSI SQL, SAS, Tableau, Excel, and clinical software applications.
• Experience with medical device integration and application support.
• Familiarity with products such as Natus Sleep/EEG, Philips IX/IBE, Baxter/HillRom, BD Alaris, Stryker, Ascom, Midmark RTLS, Xper, Primex, Cadwell, and Olympus.
• Experience with Oracle Cerner, including Cloud iBus, CareAware Connect & suite, iCommand, and physiological device integration.
• Preferred experience in system implementation and project management.
• Preferred experience with specialized applications and department-specific software such as Cerner, NextGen, Centricity, TSI, Quality Advisor, SAS, or SSRS.
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in the area of expertise is preferred.
