Senior Salesforce Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, SOQL/SOSL, Platform Events, and associated Salesforce platform technologies.

• Create and support enterprise integrations between Salesforce and platforms like MuleSoft, CommerceTools, Stripe, Sitecore, Azure services, and other third-party applications using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, and middleware patterns.

• Establish, adhere to, and promote development standards, code quality practices, security controls, and platform governance requirements.

• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure solutions comply with Salesforce best practices, architectural standards, release criteria, and operational support expectations.

• Take ownership of delivery throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), encompassing technical design, development, unit testing, integration testing support, deployment readiness, production support, and continuous improvement.

• Utilize Git-based source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Copado or equivalent tools) to facilitate reliable and repeatable deployments.

• Actively participate in Agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, standups, reviews, and retrospectives, while fulfilling sprint commitments and deployment timelines.

• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, deployment, and production issues; conduct root cause analysis; and implement robust corrective and preventative measures.

• Monitor platform performance, identify technical debt, and spearhead optimization, refactoring, and modernization initiatives that enhance scalability, maintainability, and reliability.

• Generate and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, integration documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and implementation guides.

• Assess new Salesforce capabilities, releases, and ecosystem technologies, recommending adoption opportunities that enhance business value, developer productivity, or platform effectiveness.

• Assist with platform security, compliance, audit readiness, data governance, and change management initiatives in collaboration with security, architecture, and operational teams.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level Salesforce developers while contributing to the ongoing improvement of engineering practices across the team.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Strong comprehension of Salesforce security architecture, sharing models, profiles, permission sets, and data governance.

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis abilities.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong technical expertise in the following areas:

• Apex development and test class design

• Lightning Web Components (LWC) and contemporary UI development patterns

• Salesforce Flows and declarative automation

• REST/SOAP API integration development

• Git, pull requests, branching strategies, and CI/CD automation

• Salesforce deployment and release management practices

• Platform performance analysis and optimization

• Implementation of security, compliance, and governance on Salesforce

• Experience with AI tools or a demonstrated eagerness to learn.
