Senior Sales Training, Performance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive sales learning curriculum across multiple workstreams, managing scope, risk, dependencies, and engagement with senior stakeholders to ensure successful results.

• Develop, deliver, and integrate Elsevier’s sales and Customer Success Management (CSM) methodologies (including Challenger), utilizing a variety of blended learning techniques such as live facilitation, virtual training, digital content, call coaching, and field reinforcement.

• Mentor seasoned sales professionals and frontline managers, offering focused feedback grounded in actual performance data (e.g., Gong call analysis) to promote lasting behavior change.

• Collaborate closely with sales and CSM leadership to synchronize learning priorities with business objectives and ensure accountability and application of knowledge post-training.

• Assist managers and leaders in reinforcing learning through well-defined implementation plans, coaching frameworks, and ongoing performance discussions.

• Utilize enablement technology (e.g., Gong, Spekit, and various learning platforms) to enhance learning scalability, digitize resources, and provide on-demand performance support.

• Analyze data and insights to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives and perpetually enhance sales capability outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven success in a sales position, with substantial experience in selling complex B2B solutions and interacting with senior stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in delivering training and coaching at the senior level, preferably in global or matrixed sales organizations.

• Strong foundation in contemporary sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, MEDDICC or similar) and established credibility with experienced sales professionals.

• Coaching proficiency, backed by formal certification or a demonstrated history of enhancing sales performance and driving change.

• Expertise in adult learning, facilitation, and instructional design, with the capability to translate concepts into actionable, field-ready behaviors.

• Exceptional project and stakeholder management abilities, comfortable working at a brisk pace across various priorities.

• Data-driven approach, leveraging technology and insights to evaluate impact and enhance effectiveness.

• Confident and credible presence with senior sales leaders and high-performing sales teams.
