
Senior Sales Specialist – Histology Consumables

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Lead and expand the Histology Consumables business within the designated territory.
• Formulate and implement territory and account strategies aimed at increasing revenue, enhancing market share, converting competitors, and retaining customers.
• Meet or surpass annual sales targets while overseeing a diverse portfolio of opportunities.
• Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with laboratory leaders, Histology Managers, Pathologists, Procurement teams, and stakeholders in health systems.
• Promote the adoption of consumables, expand accounts, and drive strategic growth initiatives through consultative selling and business reviews.
• Work closely with Account Managers, Applications Specialists, Service Engineers, Marketing, and Commercial Leadership.
• Leverage territory analytics, market intelligence, Salesforce.com, and commercial performance metrics to forecast outcomes and pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Keep track of market trends, competitive activity, and customer purchasing habits.
• Share best practices, mentor colleagues, support strategic initiatives, and foster continuous improvement utilizing Danaher Business System tools and methodologies.
• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of commercial experience or a Master's Degree with 5+ years of commercial experience.
• Proven history of surpassing sales goals, fostering territory growth, and managing intricate sales cycles.
• Experience overseeing sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Skilled in developing strategic account plans and engaging with executive-level customers.
• Experienced in conducting territory business reviews and utilizing CRM and analytics tools.
• Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, relationship management, and influencing capabilities.
• Ability to engage clinical, operational, financial, and procurement stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in coaching peers, sharing best practices, leading commercial initiatives, or acting as a subject matter expert.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel overnight for territory coverage and/or company meetings.
• 50–75% travel is required.
• Preferred experience in Histology, Pathology, Diagnostics, Medical Device, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Laboratory Consumables sales.
• Preferred experience selling to hospitals, reference laboratories, academic medical centers, or integrated delivery networks.
• Knowledge of Histology laboratory workflows, tissue processing, slide preparation, staining, or related diagnostic laboratory operations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with value-based selling methodologies, territory analytics, and strategic account planning tools is a plus.
