
Senior Sales Representative – Superficial Venous Interventions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Increase sales and market presence for a designated territory by promoting, selling, and servicing Superficial Venous Intervention products.
• Cultivate new client relationships and drive the adoption of VenaSeal and Closure System products throughout the entire care continuum for venous conditions.
• Achieve and surpass Annual Operating Plan (AOP), sales budget, and account development objectives.
• Formulate and implement ongoing sales strategies.
• Identify and engage general/vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, and other medical professionals treating venous disorders.
• Recognize opportunities within existing and prospective customer bases and apply sales strategies for hospitals, surgery centers, and physician practices.
• Utilize TAP programs, CVG collaborations, product offerings, partnerships, and contracting opportunities to foster growth.
• Oversee territory management, expenses, compliance, pricing, contracts, and Generator Utilization agreements.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers, customers, administrators, and staff.
• Organize and deliver sales and product presentations, educate clients, and address objections effectively.
• Sustain existing business, create new opportunities, and counteract competitors.
• Represent Medtronic at industry events and actively pursue sales leads.
• Collaborate with physicians to plan cases, manage expectations, support procedures, and engage in clinical discussions.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
• Collaborate with marketing, customer service, finance, and other internal departments.
• Relay market intelligence, competitor activities, sales leads, pricing, and account status to sales management.
• Develop expertise in technical and clinical aspects, comprehend competitive products, and stay informed about reimbursement practices.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 6+ years, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years.
• Relevant experience in sales, clinical roles, or related fields within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Preferred 4+ years of B2B or medical device sales experience.
• Familiarity with operating room, hospital, and physician office protocols and conduct.
• Capability to educate and instruct medical staff, peers, and technical support teams.
• Exceptional verbal and listening abilities.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proficient in business planning.
• Competency in PC applications.
• Proficient in technology and applications such as iPad and Salesforce.com.
• Willingness to travel, including potential overnight stays.
• Availability to work and travel during weekends and evenings.
• Ability to be on-call as necessary.
• Capacity to transport products/equipment from vehicle to hospital.
• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for over eight hours a day.
• Capability to travel extensively with ease; around 10% of the time.
• Ability to drive approximately 80% of the time within the designated territory.
• Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance required.
• Driving record will be reviewed.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment.
• For degrees obtained outside the U.S., a qualification meeting 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.
