
Senior Sales Manager – Clinical Trials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Utilize an established network of contacts and decision-makers within the clinical trials industry to create new business prospects.
• Advocate for US-based clinical trial services such as Packaging, Labelling, Storage, and Distribution (PLSD), Comparator medications, and ancillary sourcing.
• Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan to establish a foothold in the US market, targeting Contract Research Organizations (CROs), pharmaceutical, and biotech firms.
• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with senior-level stakeholders (C-Suite) to influence commercial opportunities and decision-making processes.
• Confidently showcase services and value propositions, exhibiting professional gravitas in all client engagements.
• Act as the main point of contact for US clients, ensuring smooth communication across global teams.
• Oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to deal closures, while maintaining strong customer relations.
• Lead client meetings, sales presentations, and quarterly business reviews, preparing agendas and consolidating feedback from internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with sales colleagues and teams across Europe.
• Partner with commercial teams across affiliates to provide a holistic customer approach.
• Represent the company at trade events, engaging with potential leads.
• Leverage data tools to identify and research potential clients, facilitating targeted sales presentations.
• Monitor pipeline opportunities, assist quoting teams, and deliver comprehensive quotes and supply plans to clients.
• Ensure smooth transitions from quote award to project management, guaranteeing client needs are thoroughly understood and met.
• Accompany clients on site tours of the US depot, alongside the operations team, to demonstrate capabilities.
• Provide customer insights and feedback to inform US market strategy and annual planning decisions.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives, sharing lessons learned to enhance global processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, but relevant career experience will be considered.
• At least 8 years of experience in business development and global customer relationship management, specifically within the clinical trials sector.
• Proven success in managing senior-level client relationships and driving revenue growth.
• Experience collaborating with CROs, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies in an international context.
• Familiarity with clinical supply logistics is advantageous.
• Established network of decision-makers in the clinical trials sector, including CROs, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies.
• Strong presentation and selling skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Self-driven and persistent, capable of working independently.
• High level of professional gravitas, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and familiar with sales tools like Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for client visits and internal meetings (both domestic and international).
