This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Oversee customer interactions, building relationships, making calls, and closing sales.
• Meet with customers and prospective clients within the designated territory 3 to 4 days a week.
• Collaborate with management to ensure alignment with branch strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development.
• Exhibit strong decision-making abilities and prioritize dynamic daily tasks effectively.
• Work in close partnership with other internal departments to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
• Engage with various levels of decision-makers and influencers to comprehend customers’ business challenges and supply chain objectives.
• Capable of creating customized solutions that provide value and align with the customer’s business strategy.
• The Sales Executive is expected to contribute to the Regional team by consistently meeting new net revenue targets, sharing insights and ideas, and promoting best practices to foster the success of the entire sales team and the respective Branch.
• Identify, plan, and conduct in-person visits with new prospective clients within the Branch territory.
• Regularly maintain and update our CRM system (at least weekly).
• Stay engaged with customers to nurture relationships and ensure ongoing account success in cooperation with the assigned Account Executive/Account Manager.
• Follow up and respond to sales leads generated by overseas offices or assigned by your Sales Manager.
• Participate in training sessions designed to enhance relevant knowledge and skills.
• Coordinate quotes with your Sales Coordinator (if applicable) and assist in transitioning new customers to the local Account Executive/Account Manager.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of operational experience from a freight forwarder or in outside sales.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, a minimum of 3 to 4 days a week.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred).
• Advanced understanding of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology (preferred).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills (preferred).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail (preferred).
• Excellent ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others (preferred).
• Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a positive attitude and a clear focus on quality and business profitability (preferred).
• Strong business development acumen with a clear “hunter” mentality (preferred).
• Ability to develop and maintain robust inter-company relationships (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (preferred).
