This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Work alongside the South Africa Named Accounts team to create and implement targeted strategies for account penetration.
• Design and advocate for intricate People-Centric Security solutions that utilize the complete Proofpoint portfolio.
• Share valuable customer insights and real-world experiences with the Product Management, Marketing, and Product Development (Engineering) teams to ensure our solutions remain top-tier.
• Become proficient in Email Security, Advanced Persistent Threats, Attack Protection, Threat Response, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and the overall threat landscape.
• Ensure adherence to ISO, NIST, and MITRE standards.
• Present at or participate in industry seminars and/or trade shows as necessary.
• Practical experience in a customer-facing technical position, such as a Sales/System Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Security Engineer, or senior-level product support or professional services, preferably in the cybersecurity sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in enterprise email solutions, email authentication, advanced persistent threats, data security, network security, or cloud security, along with knowledge of shadow IT.
• Highly self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal daily supervision from a remotely located Account Manager.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to maintain focus and productivity in a partner office setting.
• Proactive communicator who takes initiative in keeping the Account Manager informed about customer activities, pipeline developments, and priorities.
• Comfortable serving as the primary local technical representative, advancing opportunities and assisting customers between Account Manager visits.
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to present to individuals and/or teams, including technical personnel and C-suite executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• CISSP or another relevant security industry certification.
