This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Execute pre-sales activities such as solution demonstrations, presentations, technical advice, proof of concepts, and RfX responses.
• Serve as the primary technical authority on Ping Identity solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Build lasting relationships with clients and establish yourself as their trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue, focusing on Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof stages.
• Align pre-sales initiatives with the post-sales service delivery team throughout the sales process.
• Lead customer-facing meetings through videoconferencing and in-person interactions, including presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions.
• Provide insights on product improvements and customer requirements to product owners.
• Guide junior team members through formal and informal mentorship.
• Attain subject matter expert-level understanding of at least one Ping Identity solution and act as a resource for other Sales Engineers.
• Travel 15% to 40% as required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or 5+ years of experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing capacity such as pre-sales, consulting, support, or training.
• Extensive knowledge of SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, and REST interfaces.
• In-depth understanding of LDAP, Active Directory, SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, and JDBC.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and web technologies including JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, and Java.
• Proven expertise in developing and delivering technical presentations, workshops, tailored demonstrations, and proof of concepts.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Capability to connect technical functionalities to customer requirements.
• Ability to operate with a high degree of self-direction and/or collaborate effectively with teams and customers.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts such as Authentication, Authorization, Federation, Single Sign-On, User Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, Governance, and Workflow.
• Familiarity with infrastructure, networking technologies, and cloud service providers.
• Ideal candidates should have experience with IAM technologies from Ping, Okta, Auth0, Sailpoint, CA, Oracle, or similar.
• Experience with web application servers and operating systems including Windows, Mac, RedHat, Ubuntu, Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and platforms such as GitHub, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Experience deploying on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Successful implementation of a SaaS-based IAM solution.
• Experience with Ping multi-tenant SaaS solutions including PingOne SSO, PingID, PingOne MFA, PingOne Verify, PingOne Protect, PingOne Authorize, and DaVinci.
