This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Take charge of and address intricate technical challenges independently, utilizing managers and teams as strategic collaborators instead of primary support.
• Act as a subject matter authority in API data integrations and the entire Glia product suite.
• Formulate and execute risk mitigation strategies to proactively identify potential risks and lessen their effects on sales results.
• Appropriately delegate tasks, incorporate technical requirements into project planning, and select the most efficient project management techniques.
• Navigate and resolve complex client issues, encouraging teamwork across departments while managing communication challenges with various stakeholders in banks, credit unions, and financial services organizations.
• Articulate complex information clearly and succinctly during executive-level meetings, ensuring that all communications are impactful and directly support business goals.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of trends in the financial services and customer service industries, regularly providing insights during meetings and strategic discussions.
• Cultivate and sustain deep, personalized relationships with customers, leveraging these connections to further business objectives.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to the collective knowledge of the team by effectively utilizing our comprehensive library of stories and case studies across the Glia product range.
• Over 5 years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Proficient coding skills (beyond mere "technical aptitude"). Comfortable in building and altering working examples in JavaScript and HTML/CSS, as well as clearly articulating decisions.
• Demonstrated experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations (including authentication, payloads, retries, error handling, and debugging).
• Proven track record of creating tangible technical artifacts such as serverless functions, lightweight backend services, automation scripts, or integration applets to validate workflows and solutions in enterprise sales cycles.
• Capability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes and guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders through tradeoffs (security, time-to-value, maintainability, user experience).
• Significant customer-facing/business-facing experience (pre-sales, professional services, implementations, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or similar). Must be at ease leading technical discussions with senior prospect stakeholders, including executive buyers.
• Excellent communication skills: asks insightful questions, can whiteboard/teach, and can present a clear perspective with executive presence.
• Experience working in or around B2B SaaS products that enhance sales/service/customer experience workflows (understands customer service personas and care team operational realities).
