This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the technical lead by engaging with qualified opportunities, collaborating with Account Executives to secure new Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and identify expansion prospects within the current client base.
• Conduct discovery sessions with both technical and business stakeholders to identify challenges, assess current architecture, and understand commercial motivations; convert these insights into use cases and a compelling Entersekt solution narrative.
• Clearly communicate Entersekt’s unique advantages in terminology that customers can utilize internally to develop their own business cases, avoiding technical product-marketing jargon.
• Directly address technical objections, including comparative analyses against existing vendors and in-house solutions.
• Facilitate technical workshops, demonstrations, and proof of concept (POC) scoping with customer and partner technical teams.
• Oversee the technical components of RFP/RFI submissions in collaboration with the Sales team.
• Participate in solution design alongside the Solution Architecture team, maintaining clear scope boundaries: the Sales Engineer shapes the win, while the Solution Architect is responsible for the build.
• Ensure smooth transitions to Solution Delivery upon contract signing, enabling the delivery team to execute without the need for re-discovery.
• Report product deficiencies, integration challenges, and competitive insights to Product, Engineering, and Sales leadership, and follow up until resolution; the customer’s voice must be prioritized.
• Develop the necessary product, domain, and integration knowledge to independently address most customer inquiries, reserving internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) involvement for truly unique or high-risk situations.
• Create technical content that enhances the sales pipeline, including customer-specific briefings, integration documentation, and comparative positioning materials.
• Over 7 years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, preferably within a SaaS environment focused on payments or authentication.
• In-depth technical knowledge in one of the following areas:
• payments (EMV 3DS, 3D Secure Server or Access Control Server operations, issuer/acquirer integrations, transaction flows, authorization rate optimization) or
• authentication (Strong Customer Authentication, out-of-band MFA, mobile and web SDK integration, trusted device endpoints, orchestrated authentication processes).
• Proficient understanding of the other domain, adequate for managing an opportunity from start to finish without transferring responsibilities.
• Proven ability to convey technical credibility in commercial discussions with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Comfortable working within regulated environments.
• Experience in the financial services sector is highly desirable.
• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Willingness to travel: typically 25 - 30%.
